This is a nice old German fiddle that is 70 or 80 years old. It is set up as a classical instrument.  That is the bridge is higher and rounder than I have in my other fiddles.  When I first got it, I thought it was pretty weak, until I discovered it had no sound post.  I had a Luthier put in a new sound post and make a new bridge.  It really sounds good now.  It can be described as somewhere between warm and bright.  Projection is what I would call medium. Not concert hall loud but good nonetheless.  There a some scratches on the top under the bridge and under the tailpiece.  At some point, someone let the bridge fall and the fine tuners scratched it.  Other wise it is in good shape.  Look at the pictures below to get a better Idea.  Some of the pictures might mislead you as to the actual color.  It is not as orange as it appears in the smaller pictures.  The two close ups showing the scratches are closer to the color.

The case is old and beat up and there is no bow.
